All organizations that receive federal food or funding from WSDA must share this nondiscrimination statement with all clients. In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are many ways people can assist the Friday Harbor Food Bank.
Cash donations provide the greatest versatility and help us to meet predictable, ongoing needs. Monetary contributions especially help, as they allow us to pay for basic distributions including eggs, milk, and bread.
VOLUNTEERS
We are always in need of volunteers. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:30 to 2:30, our volunteers distribute food, restock shelves, accept donations, and help with the overall success of our operation. To sign up, please stop by on a Wednesday or Saturday and talk with our manager Rachelle Radonski, or send us an email.
