THE FIRST REMODEL
In April of 2014 we finished a remodel, adding shelf space, new counters, and new doors to enhance customer flow. We also relocated our freezers and refrigerators, placed a new door to connect the back and front rooms, and extensively rewired the building. New paint and new windows brightened up the customer area. New flooring, too.
New produce shelves, and year-round funding for fresh fruit and vegetables to fill those shelves, significantly enhances the Food Bank's community value.
These upgrades were underwritten by Dave and Nancy Honeywell's Rappahannock River Valley Foundation (Fredericksburg, VA).
Many others donated goods and services. We thank Guard Electric and Curtis Frenk, Browne Lumber, Stegman Painting, Miller Drywall, and the Town of Friday Harbor for their generous donations.
